Anika Rose is an American actor and singer. The most famous role she has played is Tiana The first Disney African American princess. Disney Legends named her one of the 2011 Disney Legends. Rose was in Lorrell Robinson in the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni (born June 6 in 1972) is a songwriter as well as an American actress. Most famous for her voice as the voice in the role of Tiana In The Princess and the Frog as the very first African American Disney princess. Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in the year 2011. Her name was also honoured for her performance in Dreamgirls (2006) that was awarded the Academy Award for Best Picture. On the Starz show Power she was the character LaVerne Jukebox Ganner. Her other notable roles include her performance in the theatre, particularly due to her roles in the lead role of Emmie Thibodeaux, in the Broadway performance of Caroline or Change (2004) for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and Beneatha Younger as part of The Broadway adaptation of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) for which she received nominations for the Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a play.
